Great Place To Live In

A great place to live. Lots of pools, an indoor and outdoor cinema, roof beach and lots of cafes and restaurants downstairs. Also a supermarket downstairs which is well stocked. A few problems with the electrics in some units and the workmanship of the units is a little questionable but OK if renting.

Overall Is Nice & Convenient

Located just next to GIS, this condo has all the amenities you could want from 2 astro-turfed tennis courts, 2 swimming pools below, another swimming pool and a beach at top, 2 gyms, table tennis, squash courts, copious number of outdoor and indoor visitor carparks. Makes me wonder how much the maintenance costs of this place is like.

I love Verve Suites

The common area is very very special and attractive. The sky lounge is the ONLY sky beach i’ve seen. The security is good, place is quiet. However, the unit i view (maybe not all) have a very strange layout with lots of non right angle corners. Open kitchen with no nearby window, hence smell/steam of cooking will trap inside the apmt.

FOOD ORDER MISSING!!!

There are no tables or shelves to place the food delivery orders on, which makes it difficult for the residents. That’s why, sometimes the orders end up missing once it’s delivered. I suggest the management look into this, to prevent further unnecessary lost.

Attention: Prospective Residents in the MK Area

If you’re considering moving into this property and are familiar with the MK scene, here are some important insights:

Pros:

Convenience: You’re just a short walk from Verve Shops for your grocery and shopping needs.

Vibrant Community: The property is well-kept and boasts a lively, diverse crowd – something not commonly found in other parts of MK.

Cons:

Poor Management: The management is notably unresponsive and unfriendly.

They don’t allocate space for food or parcel deliveries, which means if you’re not home, your package may be canceled or returned to the warehouse.

Any miscommunication between owners and the management office can result in your elevator access being canceled, leaving you to resolve issues directly with the owner.

Limited Parking: You only receive one car park space, which can be quite restrictive.

Restricted Access: Your maid isn’t allowed to have an access card to your unit.

Overall, this property suffers from the most unwelcoming and hostile management I’ve encountered in MK. I’m planning to move out soon—so best of luck to anyone who decides to stay here in the future.

I Love The Environment

The rooftop area and the pool on the level below are absolutely fantastic, offering a stunning view. The ground floor and lower levels feature commercial spaces complete with basement parking. There’s also a wide range of convenient retail outlets, including Jaya Grocer, Caring Pharmacy, several upscale restaurants, a chiropractor, traditional Chinese medicine, a physiotherapy clinic, a nursery, a music school, WYNKIDS, a pilates studio, hair salons, and a bakery.

A Year of Mixed Experiences at Verve Suites Mont’Kiara

I lived at Verve Suites Mont’Kiara for a year, and here are some key takeaways for future tenants:

Pros:

Location & Accessibility: The property is conveniently located with a variety of amenities nearby, plus you get direct access to Verve Shops on Level 5.

Green Surroundings: There’s plenty of greenery around, which creates a pleasant environment.

Helpful Staff: Some of the security guards are notably polite and willing to help.

Visitor Parking: Ample parking is available for visitors.

Convenience Services: Laundry and dry cleaning services are easily accessible, and the JagaApp is user-friendly, offering options for cleaning, air-conditioning repairs, and more.

Cons:

Traffic Woes: Leaving the property on weekday mornings (around 7-7:30 am) is extremely challenging due to heavy traffic caused by the nearby Gardens International School. The school’s security team seems ill-equipped to manage the influx of vehicles.

Construction Noise: There is continuous noise from ongoing construction at a neighboring condo, which can be quite disruptive.

Outdated Appliances: Built in 2012, the unit’s electrical appliances are over a decade old and have experienced multiple malfunctions. This outdated equipment results in poor energy efficiency and higher electricity bills.

High Water Bills: Expect to pay a commercial water rate—around RM36 extra—because the management shares the bill with Verve Shops.

Inept Management: The management has consistently failed to resolve complaints, which is very frustrating.

Special Note for Block C, Level 7:

The noise levels here are exceptionally high. Neighbors, particularly one overly noisy couple claiming to have nocturnal cats, produce thudding, stomping, and loud conversations well into the night. Despite making multiple complaints (even during the early hours), nothing substantial was done to curb the disturbance.

Many tenants on Level 7 frequently slam their doors, contributing to the overall noise.

To make matters worse, ongoing renovations have escalated the noise levels, with contractors slamming doors so forcefully that it shakes unit doors and cabinets. Shockingly, management remains oblivious to these renovations.

Update: A new round of renovations has begun, and management still appears unaware of the situation. This ongoing negligence in handling security and noise issues is a major drawback. My advice? Consider selecting a different condo.

Negligent Management with Constant Delays

The management at VERVE Suites Mont’Kiara is appalling. Every maintenance request, no matter how small, is met with either long delays or no response at all. This negligence has resulted in recurring issues that are never resolved, leaving residents feeling ignored and undervalued. It’s hard to justify the premium price when the management fails so miserably at their job.
