Affordable But Small
For a Penang condo under RM600k, The Terraces is quite affordable. The location is good, but the unit size is quite small for a family with kids. Might be suitable for young professionals or newlyweds, but not for a growing family.
The Terraces Condo Is Great for Own Stay, Not So Much for Investment
If you’re buying for own stay, this project is affordable and comfortable. However, if you’re looking for capital appreciation, I would look elsewhere. Leasehold condos don’t appreciate as much as freehold ones, and Penang has many upcoming projects that might compete with this one.
Cramped Unit Sizes
The layouts are well-designed, but at 925-950 sq. ft., the units feel too small for a family. The living and dining areas are okay, but the bedrooms are quite tight. If you need more space, this might not be suitable.
Traffic Nightmare
The location is strategic, but Bukit Jambul’s traffic is terrible during peak hours! If you work in Bayan Lepas or George Town, expect to spend a lot of time stuck in jams. Plus, the roads leading to the condo are quite narrow. Definitely a deal-breaker for me.
The Terrace Condo? Disappointed with Leasehold Tenure
I was excited about this project at first, but after finding out it’s leasehold, I lost interest. For this price, I would rather buy a freehold property that offers better long-term value. IJM is a good developer, but I personally prefer a property that I can hold forever. Not for me.
